Our Fees

Standard in-clinic psychology appointments are 50 minutes.

The fee for a standard in-clinic consultation is $245 per session.

Extended in-clinic psychology appointments are 90 minutes.

The fee for an extended in-clinic consultation is $370 per session.

Sessions outside of business hours (5pm onwards) attract an additional $20 fee.

Sessions conducted outside of the clinic (walk and talk, nature therapy) may attract an additional Medicare rebate and in these cases session price is adjusted to reflect the same out of pocket cost as our in-clinic sessions.

We also provide options for longer extended consultations, or briefer consultations for accessibility.

Other fee information

Medicare rebates

You do not need a referral to book an appointment. However, if you would like to access Medicare rebates, you will need a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan or Eating Disorder Treatment and Management Plan referral from your GP, psychiatrist or eligible medical practitioner.

With a valid referral, eligible clients may be able to claim a Medicare rebate for psychology sessions under the Better Access initiative.

For a standard session with a registered psychologist, the current Medicare rebate is $98.95, leaving an out-of-pocket cost of $146.05 per session when the full fee is $245.

Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) or Eating Disorder Treatment and Management Plan (EDP) and referral may be eligible to claim Medicare rebates for psychology sessions.

Under the Better Access initiative, eligible clients can currently claim Medicare benefits for up to 10 individual mental health treatment services per calendar year, provided they have a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan and referral.

Clients can also access up to 40 individual mental health treatment services per calendar year under an Eating Disorder Treatment and Management Plan.

Please bring or email your referral before your first appointment so Medicare rebate details can be processed correctly.

Private health insurance

Some private health insurers provide rebates for psychology sessions, depending on your level of extras cover.

Please contact your private health insurer directly to check your eligibility, rebate amount and claiming requirements.

Please note that Medicare and private health insurance generally cannot be used for the same appointment. If you are claiming a Medicare rebate, you cannot also use private health insurance to cover the gap fee for that same session.

Telehealth appointments

The fee for a standard telehealth consultation is $245, the same as an in-person appointment.

Medicare rebates may be available for eligible telehealth psychology sessions where you have a valid referral and meet Medicare requirements.

NDIS participants

NDIS participants may be able to use their funding for psychology sessions where the support is reasonable and necessary, related to their disability support needs, and in line with their NDIS plan.

The practice can see NDIS participants who are self-managed or plan-managed.

If you are plan-managed, invoices can be issued to your plan manager for payment. If you are self-managed, payment is required directly, and you can then claim reimbursement from the NDIS.

If your funding is NDIA-managed, you may need to see an NDIS-registered provider. Please check your plan management arrangements before booking.

Invoices for NDIS participant are in line with the NDIA Pricing Arrangements and Price Limit’s guidelines, with no out-of-pocket costs.

Payment methods

Initial appointments require payment in order to be confirmed. Upon booking in your first appointment, we will be in contact with you to provide intake forms and to take payment.

Payment can be made through invoices provided after your appointment, which accepts card. Clients can choose to securely store card details in our client management system, to be debited after your appointment and with your consent.

Medicare rebates, where applicable, can be processed after payment if a valid referral has been provided.

Cancellation policy

Your appointment time is reserved for you.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice where possible.

Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice, or appointments that are missed without notice, may incur a cancellation fee.

Cancellation fees are not usually eligible for Medicare rebates and may not be covered by private health insurance or NDIS funding.

This helps to ensure appointment times can be offered to other clients who may be waiting for support.
