A place for those who have been told they are too much, too difficult, too complex, and learned it was easier to stay silent. A place where you are free to spiral, and supported to find your way out of it.
Philosophy
We believe in support
At its core, we wanted Vessel to be a space to be truly held, supported, contained safely. Our bodies hold so much yet we rarely give ourselves the chance to be truly held. The allure and imagery associated with a vessel felt very adjacent to our intentions for both therapy and the body. To use space both deliberately and steadily, for movement, to create space, to be steadied.
Our approach
The most important part of therapy is relational. Above all else we prioritise attachment, safety, flexibility, and connection. You are the expert of your own experience, and our job is to support and understand you, and support you to understand you.
Specifically, we provide therapy drawn from the following modalities:
Psychodynamic and attachment-focused therapies
Mindfulness and Compassion-focused therapy
Schema therapy and parts-work therapies
Emotionally focused therapy
Cognitive Behavioural and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Specialist Supportive Clinical Management for eating disorders
Our practice is neuroaffirming, trauma-informed, and culturally safe, grounded in our founder’s lived experiences of being neurodivergent, BIPOC, and recovery from a restrictive eating disorder.
